Attorney Dominic Terlaje, former teacher, appointed

Governor Felix P. Camacho has appointed Attorney Dominic S. Terlaje as Education Suruhanu.

"Attorney Terlaje is a well-respected citizen who will represent the best interests of the parents and schoolchildren of Guam," Governor Camacho said.

The Governor appointed Attorney Terlaje on April 28, 2008.  His appointment was submitted to the Legislature yesterday for confirmation.

Attorney Terlaje has been in private practice with the firm Cruz, Sison & Terlaje, PLLC since November 2006.  Prior to that, he served as Assistant Public Defender and Senior Law Clerk for Superior Court Judges Michael Bordallo, Anita Sukola and Arthur Barcinas.

Attorney Terlaje also was a school teacher at Oceanview Middle School before entering his law career.

Attorney Terlaje earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Secondary Education from the University of Guam in 1995.  He received his Juris Doctor degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan in 2001.
