May 29, 2009
Governor’s Chief of Staff J. George Bamba, on behalf of the Office of the Governor, today signed the contract with Core Tech International, which would open an interim campus for John F. Kennedy High School in Tiyan. Bamba met this afternoon with the Attorney General’s Office, Core Tech and the Government of Guam Chief Procurement Officer Claudia Acfalle to finalize the contract.
As part of the signature process, the contract will now be signed by Core Tech, Bureau of Budget and Management Research, Attorney General Alicia Limtiaco, and finally, Governor Felix Camacho on behalf of the Government of Guam.
“Now that we have started the process of obtaining all necessary signatures to complete this contract, we are much closer to opening the interim JFK campus,” said Governor Camacho. “We have always been committed to solving the double session issue and ensuring the education of our children is no longer compromised.”
The Governor expects to complete the signature process by early next week.
