Web Site Advisory April 3, 2008

Our web host will be performing routine maintenance on the MySql server that contains our data. The following message was provided by our host:

MySQL Maintenance Scheduled for Tonight

As part of our ongoing efforts to improve MySQL performance, we will be adding new hardware and re-allocating the load on our MySQL servers between 12:00am and 5:00am EDT on Thursday, April 3, 2008. During this five-hour maintenance window, there may be periods of time when your database is temporarily inaccessible, making the database-driven pieces of your Web site temporarily unavailable to your visitors. (You should be able to connect to your database(s) as normal for most of this maintenance window, but you may experience intermittent connectivity issues between midnight and 5:00am EDT.)

We have scheduled this maintenance for a time when traffic to most customers' sites is typically at its lowest. Still, we apologize for any inconvenience, and we expect that the work we're doing will help improve your site's performance.

Legislature, CMTF Open Dialogue for Guam Buildup PDF Print E-mail
Governor, Lt. Governor encourage leaders to strengthen partnerships

January 25, 2008

Governor Felix P. Camacho and Lt. Governor Michael W. Cruz, M.D. today urged senators to join the Administration and the Civilian/Military Task Force as planning efforts continue for the Guam Buildup.

"We must work together to build our case to ensure that we have the resources we need to prepare our island and our community for the Guam Buildup," Governor Camacho said.  "This isn't just about the military coming to Guam. This is about the buildup of our island and the opportunity to improve the quality of life for our people.  We must work together as partners at the table so we can sustain this growth far beyond the military relocation."

CMTF members presented the progress they have made and shared their agendas to illustrate the work that lies ahead.  These presentations opened dialogue for questions and concerns about future planning efforts and the Guam Buildup during a meeting held with senators this morning.

Governor Camacho encouraged senators to work with the CMTF especially as Administration officials will be meeting with federal officials in Washington D.C. in the weeks ahead.

"I've spoken and met with many government officials, including important members of the Senate, who support our efforts with the Guam Buildup and they understand that there is much that needs to be done," Governor Camacho said.  "The recent visits by high-ranking House officials speak volumes of the attention and support Guam already is gaining. We must stand united to win the support and resources we need in the months and years ahead."

The meeting was held at the A.B. Won Pat International Airport Authority, Guam conference room.  Future meetings will be scheduled to continue the open dialogue and working partnership.
