Web Site Advisory April 3, 2008 Our web host will be performing routine maintenance on the MySql server that contains our data. The following message was provided by our host: MySQL Maintenance Scheduled for Tonight
As part of our ongoing efforts to improve MySQL performance, we will be adding new hardware and re-allocating the load on our MySQL servers between 12:00am and 5:00am EDT on Thursday, April 3, 2008. During this five-hour maintenance window, there may be periods of time when your database is temporarily inaccessible, making the database-driven pieces of your Web site temporarily unavailable to your visitors. (You should be able to connect to your database(s) as normal for most of this maintenance window, but you may experience intermittent connectivity issues between midnight and 5:00am EDT.) We have scheduled this maintenance for a time when traffic to most customers' sites is typically at its lowest. Still, we apologize for any inconvenience, and we expect that the work we're doing will help improve your site's performance. - 04/02/08 at 14:52 ET

February 4, 2008
(Cairns, Australia) Two major Australian companies expressed interest in developing various infrastructure in Guam and managing the Guam Memorial Hospital. The comments were made during the Governor's meetings this morning with several government and private industry leaders in Cairns.
In his meeting with members of the Cairns Chamber of Commerce, Governor Camacho spoke about the Guam Buildup and the challenges the island faces in developing infrastructure that can sustain economic growth far beyond the Marines relocation. He brought up issues with wastewater disposal, water distribution, solid waste disposal, roads, the seaport and power production.
"We already did our needs assessment, now we're doing our master planning and we are looking for ways to finance billions in local infrastructure needs alone," Governor Camacho told the Chamber members. "There are big opportunities in Guam."
ARUP, a national infrastructure developer in Cairns, had representatives attend this meeting to discuss infrastructure opportunities in Guam. ARUP has experience in building public roads, port infrastructure, utilities infrastructure and more throughout Australia.
"We are keen on infrastructure opportunities in Guam," ARUP Office Leader Stewart Christie said.
ARUP representatives asked about the regulatory process in Guam. "With this rapid growth, we will be coordinating our permitting process," Governor Camacho replied. "We want all our infrastructure built efficiently and through one master plan that I can bring to the U.S. Congress to make our case for the resources we need."
Later, Governor Camacho spoke with Mark Page, CEO of Cairns Private Hospital, the only private hospital in Cairns with a facility two minutes from the public hospital. It belongs to the national health provider Ramsay Health Care.
Page said that there is a lack of health care professionals throughout Australia, just as in Guam.
The Governor and Page discussed the possibility of students from Guam receiving medical training in Australia to learn trades in the medical field needed in both communities. Page said the suggestion is very possible. "I will have our national human resources office contact you at least to support training of people from Guam in health fields."
The Governor and Page also spoke about the possibility of opening relationships between Australian health centers and Guam insurance companies so that residents who must be treated off island can have the option of treatment in Australia.
