DEIS Summary Fact Sheets Now Available for Review Online |

Governor Urges Local Residents to Read Summaries
January 20, 2010 The Governor announced today that the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) for the military build-up has been summarized and is available to the community. The summaries, titled DEIS Fact Sheets, can be found online at www.one.guam.gov. Each volume of the DEIS is broken down into reader friendly presentations. Included are summaries, key actions identified in each volume, and summaries of specific issues which include commentaries from the Governor’s Advisory Consulting Team (ACT). Assessments of the alternatives discussed within the DEIS are also offered. “These summaries will help our people make informed judgments and comment effectively to insure the interests of our community are protected,” said Gov. Camacho. “Rest assured the people of Guam will have a voice in this process, both as individuals and collectively as a community. I strongly urge everyone to review these summaries as soon as possible.”
