When the First Lady, Joann Camacho kicked off her Simple Tasks Aimed at Reducing Trash or START campaign in September, she was determined to get people actively involved in doing their share to help reduce trash in the island. START was a timely campaign to help address this mounting concern on Guam. Currently, the island generates a massive 242 tons of trash per day which end up being dumped in Ordot. Imagine how much more this will add up to once the military build-up involving 8,000 troops and their dependents takes place. Click here to download the full length version of the flyer. (pdf format)
