Governor Swears In Board and Commission Members

Governor Felix P. Camacho yesterday swore in 17 individuals to serve on various government boards and commissions. The ceremony was held at the large conference room of the Ricardo J. Bordallo Governor’s Complex, Adelup.

“It is enlightening to see that there are individuals willing to take an active and hands-on role in their government,” said Gov. Camacho. “I commend these men and women for stepping forward to serve the people and island of Guam.”

Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Director Dr. David L.G. Shimizu and Department of Youth Affairs Director Vincent A. “Tony” Ada were among the newly sworn in members. Shimizu will serve on the Guam Developmental Disabilities Council and Ada will serve on the Guam Juvenile Justice Advisory Committee.
